1. National Certificate for Personal Licence Holders

This handbook has been designed to support courses leading to the BIIAB Level 2 National Certificate for Personal Licence Holders examination.
The handbook covers licensing law as defined in the new Licensing Act 2003 and the social responsibilities of the personal licence holder.

As well as providing the main content and learning outcomes of the qualification, the handbook also contains information about the examination, some specimen examination questions, useful addresses and publications and other helpful information.

2. Scottish Certificate for Personal Licence Holders

This handbook has been designed to support courses leading to the BIIAB Scottish Certificate for Personal Licence Holders (SCPLH) examination.

The handbook covers licensing law as defined in the new Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005 and the social responsibilities of the personal licence holder.

As well as providing the main content and learning outcomes of the qualification, the handbook also contains information about the examination, some specimen examination questions, useful addresses and publications and other helpful information.

3. National Certificate for Designated Premises Supervisors

This handbook has been designed to support courses leading to the BIIAB National Certificate for Designated Premises Supervisors examination.

The content of the handbook covers licensing law as defined in the Licensing Act 2003 and also introduces some regulatory issues which are not covered in the Act but which a designated premises supervisor needs to be aware of. The handbook has been designed to relate to all sectors of licensed retail and the many different types of premises licensed to sell alcohol.

The handbook is arranged in numbered sections, each with sub-sections, and contains all knowledge needed to pass the examination. Each section of the handbook begins by showing the relevant outcome and assessment criteria.

4. National Certificate for Licensing Practitioners

This handbook has been designed to support courses leading to the BIIAB Level 2 National Certificate for Licensing Practitioners examination.

The handbook covers licensing law as defined in the Licensing Act 2003 and the duties of those involved in its implementation at local level.

5. National Certificate for Door Supervisors - to support the SIA licence - complete handbook

This handbook has been designed to support courses leading to the Level 2 National Certificate for Door Supervisors.

This qualification is one of the requirements of the Security Industry Authority for obtaining a door supervisor licence.

The full handbook contains two sections for each of the Units of the examination:

• Unit 1 Roles and Responsibilities of Door Supervisors
  
• Unit 2 Conflict Management for Door Supervisors

Each unit of the handbook is divided up into a number of sections containing the subject content for the examination. Each section has clearly laid out aims and learning objectives. As well as the subject content, the handbook contains specimen examination question, useful addresses, publications and training aids.

6. National Certificate for Door Supervisors (Scotland) - to support the SIA licence - complete handbook

This handbook has been designed to support courses leading to the National Certificate for Door Supervisors (Scotland) qualification. It is vital for candidates who intend to work as door stewards in Scotland and who therefore wish to follow the syllabus from a Scottish perspective.

The qualification is one of the requirements of the Security Industry Authority for obtaining a door supervisor licence. Note that the SIA licence (once obtained) enables the holder to work in Scotland, England and Wales.

The full handbook contains a section for each of the two Units of the qualification:
